Pro Since: 2005

I've been working with Dylan and his crew for years to bring my vision of a perfect fishing pack to market. I love what we have created, and know from 100s of days on the water that this pack carries your essentials securely in the right place so you can focus on angling.

Proper Use

Less Hassle, More Fish

The beauty of the flask pack is it's versatility. You can wear it anywhere on your body, or lash it anywhere on your boat or float tube. If you're not dry fly fishing you can use the floatant holders for weight - or power bait. However you use it, it'll simplify the process and increase your enjoyment.

Flask Pack

Flask Pack - properly proportioned for serious angling

Form follows function. No better or more flattering way to describe the flask pack.

Here's how it came to be. Three years ago we were fishing with our good friend and fellow product perfectionist Mickey Anderson. One of us wore a chest pack from a prior employer, the other a leather lanyard we used to sell and fly boxes in shorts pockets, Mickey was sporting a small fanny pack that he had completely re-sewn into the ultimate pack for his Ninja-style tactical fishing. It was a decent day, we each hooked into nice fish in obvious areas - and then sat down and drank beer while Mickey pulled fish out of not only the same holes but also every possible holding water on the stretch. His custom modified pack didn't hurt that productivity. He didn't have to deal with a whole bottle of dry shake opening in a molded foam pocket, or fumble with a fly box in wet shorts that stuck to the plastic. Following this day, we told Mickey we'd produce a small pack if he'd work with us to perfect it. What you see is the result.

Contents of one guys flask pack

Here's how we like to use it - we wear it on our hip, like a cowboy's 6 shooter, opposite our casting arm. We keep our nippa attached to the same side as our tippet spools, and a small wonder cloth on the other side of the coil leash. IF we know we'll have to nymph to hook into fish the front gusseted pocket will hold weight and thingamabobbers - if not it'll hold tin of tobacco or some other stimulant. We put our diamond file in one pocket, 4" BTS in another, our Croc pliers in another, and pair of angle tip BTS 6" through the top strap. Lippa4life in the back pocket. Two fly boxes - one huge with dries and nymphs, and one small crammed with big nasty streamers. License, seine, leader packets, couple permanent markers to modify flies, and lighter round out the offerings.

How to load tippet on Flask

Here in Utah, we have found one spool of 20 lb tippet and larger ones of 4x,5x, 6x is all we need.. Mickey, being a more accomplished angler rolls with 5x,6x, in mono and flouro - he doesn't throw the streamers because he catches the BIG fish his way

back view of flask packWe're pushing against pack to show silhouette of Lippa4Life in the flask pack, and it worked. Please also notice the 4 d-rings, and two lash points in the webbing for lashing and carrying simplicity. The top most webbing loops are perfect for 2" wading belts, the sternum strap on backpacks,or the belts on stripping baskets. The lower strap provides additional lashing area when mounting to a boat, bike, or dog.
