Lincoln "throttle" calder

Pro Since: July 2005

"Little tweak here, little tweak there and solid quality control - perfectly describes the Nippas as well as all other Rising products. I still use the first nippa I was given - 5 yrs and still cutting well."

Product History

Design Evolution of Nippa

improving the strength experience

2004 - 05: Borrowing a page from Oxo and their rubber grip kitchen tools, experimented with different thickness rubber until we found best combination of feel and weightdemo

2007: Added our delron clip to the nippa one day on the drift boat, and loved the versatility

2008: Added Orange to the color mix

2010: Original reigns, solid as ever

Proper Use

The Cut and Clean

Clean cutting blade on the nippa cuts all tippet and mono with ease. Sharp straight needle on the other side cleans out the hook eye - to get you back on the water fast.

Nippas

Rubber enhanced cutting power

We know you've seen the overall shape before. What you haven't seen is our durable rubber coating that makes them easier to hold and see. You also haven't seen such meticulous quality control. Every single one goes through a multiple step inspection to make sure the blade is straight and clean, then we hone each blade with our diamond file. Yeah it's a ton of work for a $6 nippa, but that is what makes us different and better than every other company out there.

We use the nippa with the clip, as it increases versatility - clip it on your pdf or your shirt and it's right there ready to work.
