When choosing the right LippaRig for you the main consideration should be what type of pliers you want with the Lippa4Life. The BigNeedle pliers, at 8.5" long, are the preferred pliers when dealing with fish that frequently inhale the hook deep in their throat, or for those whose teeth make putting your hand close a scary proposition. The 6" little Needle pliers are best used by anglers who do not need the extra 2.5" length of the big needle and are also hesitant to embrace the radical look of the Crocodile pliers. More often than not, the little needle pliers are used by light tackle anglers. Finally, the Crocodile pliers, the 6" latch-lock style, are the best for fly anglers since the croc jaws work so well at removing flies without harming the body, and they open beer better than any other tool we make except for our kick-ass belt buckle.
