I like wearing the holster with the Special Blend Lippas and 6" Crocs. I'll use the Crocs's slide release feature on smaller fish and then the lippa on larger ones we may want a picture of, or any where the hook is awkwardly positioned. Makes things real easy. I've also carried this "rig" on the one saltwater trip we've been on, but it was so many years ago that I just can't remember how great it was - Rising will have to be taking me somewhere soon to jog my memory.. :)

Proper Use
Left or Right Side
We are always asked how we recommend wearing the holster, and specifically what side to wear it on. We cast right handed and so wear the holster on our left. When we lip fish, we usually do so initially with our right hand and then transfer to the left once the fish is lipped and in control. This means the coil leash crosses our body during the initial contact with the fish, so we try to keep it away from the line. We wear the holster towards the back of our side as you can see in the images at left.

Double Pocket Holster - with Diamond Hook File & Coil Leash
Easily carry lippa4life and any other pair pliers
Practical, durable, and lightweight way to carry your lippa4life and any other pair of pliers. The holster had two pockets, one for the Lippa4Life and the outermost for any other pair pliers, a horizontal pocket sewn between the fabric to hold the diamond file, belt loop and metal belt clip, and 10" coil leash that can extend 6 feet. We use ours in Utah on the rivers in the summer when we are just wet wading in our shorts and wading boots picking off rising Trout. Other anglers wear them stalking the flats for Bonefish, Redfish, or Carp. While still others wear them on their boats as they chase Blues, Stripers, and Permit. Basically if you're using the Lippa4Life and don't have it in a pack this is the system.
By changing the design of the outermost pocket on the double pocket holster, we made it easier to carry long pliers - even 12" long. This was an improvement over our first version which had vertical openings on both pockets which would allow long pliers to pop up when you sat down. As you see in the images below, the pliers are on an angle.
